Waking Nights Residential Children's Home

The position requires flexibility and the willingness to provide cover and support to the rota. We operate 24 hours 365 days a year.

This is an ideal opportunity for some who is considering a career in children's residential care in a home that has a safe and nurturing environment. We will welcome applicants with or without previous experience. We will provide training towards Diploma level 3.

MJ Children have provided residential childcare services since 1999. At present, we have a 4 bed home, 'The Birches' just outside of Whittelsey which offers a warm and safe 'home for now' to young people aged 6-18. We are in a period of development and are opening another home in Peterborough and a third 'The Willows' in Spalding alongside other projects.

The young people we care for have experienced a traumatic and neglectful early life, which presents through the emotional and behavioural difficulties they display. We understand the importance placed on our role as attachment figures, working to the therapeutic BEACON model to provide love, care and support to our young people.

Waking Nights is 21:00-09:00 - Additional £1 per hour, once you have passed your Probation Period.

A FULL UK Manual Driving licence is essential for this role, any applicants without this may not get a response due to this being a requirement. Please submit an expression of interest with your CV.
