Trainee Quantity Surveyor

We are currently looking for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor/Estimator. The successful candidate will be guided and supported by the Quantity Surveyor team and liaise with the wider workforce to enable the completion of tasks by Quantity Surveyors.,

• Accurate measurement of all site works.


• Learning how to value sub-contract works and measure works for monthly valuations and tenders.


• Learning the calculation and build up to tender rates & costs.


• Assisting with site meetings and gaining competence in completing these.


• Assisting with the agreement of subcontract final accounts.


• Ensuring high levels of communication across all business levels.


• Carrying out tasks given by Quantity Surveyors.


• Liaising with the RM Contractors workforce to request information where necessary to enable Quantity Surveyors to complete tasks.


• Undertaking basic measurements off a drawing, using measure templates.
  
  Have the ability to multi-task to department needs, plan and prioritise and shift priorities quickly in a fast-moving environment.


• Demonstrate methodical administration skills with good attention to detail.


• Build long-term external relationships.


• Have excellent communication across all business levels.


• Have the desire for a long-term career within Construction.
