Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Due to continued growth Knight Group are recruiting for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our busy commercial department. The role would suit an applicant looking for their first role within the construction industry. The position will be based in Kelvedon, Essex and will provide commercial support to our Head Office Commercial Team, maintaining

commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and the Company's values.

Job Role:

• Assisting with commercial management of Groundworks & Civil Engineering contracts.


• Assisting with Procurement and Management of Sub-Contract Packages.


• Liaison with clients and contractors to maintain good information flow.


• Maintaining good information flow between all departments of the business.


• Assisting with monthly valuations and producing applications for payment.


• Measurement and pricing of bespoke additional items and contract drawing revisions.
  
  College Leaver - with the ambition to progress a career in the construction industry.


• Open to further education on a day release basis (Funded).


• Excellent Maths & ICT skills.


• Understanding of Microsoft Excel.


• Full Clean UK Drivers License.


• Excellent Application to learn and develop new skills.


• The ability to work both individually and part of a team.


• An individual open to develop and improve their communication skills.
