Trainee Aerospace Paint Sprayer

Duties include:

• Paint spraying using a spray gun to meet company requirements to a high standard.


• Preparation and masking of components.


• Maintaining tools and equipment.
  
  Completion of relevant paperwork, work instructions and job cards is essential to this role so a good grasp of the English language and a certain level of literacy is expected.


Experience requirements:

• Basic spray gun knowledge, including maintenance.


• Ability to follow guidelines and instructions.


• Ability to work as part of a team and alone without supervision.


• Understanding of professional drawings is desirable but not essential.


• Experience working in a similar industry, or the basic qualifications (for example, vehicle maintenance and/or body repair) is essential to the role.


We are looking to hire someone who has the basic knowledge already, either from gaining it through previous employment, or through completing a relevant qualification, and who has the transferrable skills needed to be trained in how to paint aerospace components.

The right candidate will demonstrate an eagerness and willingness to learn, with hands on training, to develop the skills they already have from previous experience, and to progress within the company.

Please note: this is not a painting and decorating job, or a job where painting and decorating is viable previous experience. This is a job where metal components are finished, using a spray gun and working within tight tolerances as set out by the customer.

Would also suit someone with any kind of work history or experience that involved commercial spray painting and finishing of products using a spray painting gun.
