Full Job Description
- Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people.
- Provide the therapeutic care and support needed for each individual child.
- Act as a positive role model to meet their everyday living needs,
- Encourage our young people to try new things and inspire them on a daily basis.
- Provide emotional support to allow the young people to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations

- Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks
- Empower them to make decisions about themselves
We are looking for a children's support worker to become part of our family home, caring for young people who have sometimes complex emotional difficulties. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop. - We want people who are positive, energetic and emotionally resilient.
- Ability to remain calm in sometimes challenging situations.
- Previous experience or transferable skills such as police, teaching, childcare, armed forces, supporting vulnerable people or a keen interest in mental health awareness
- To show empathy and understanding
- FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE ESSENTIAL
- You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.

Salary: £25,553 - £26,972 (£12.60 - £13.30 per hour) plus £3000 - £6000 pa for sleep-ins. (£62.64 per sleep-in) - The Real Living Wage as a minimum

What do you need?
Shift patterns - Full and part time considered working long days plus extra sleep in (approx. 4-6 sleep ins per month)
Full UK Driving licence is required.
