Stores Controller

Responsible for the effective running and management of the Stores function, record keeping, stock accuracy and compliance with procedures and regulations.,

• Accepting deliveries


• Timely inspection and booking-in of goods on receipt


• Control and storage of stock records and documentation


• Safety and security of the stock


• Timely and accurate recording of all stock movements


• Housekeeping and organisation of storage across multiple locations


• Maintaining stock accuracy through regular stock checks


• Monitoring of consumable stock levels and preventing shortages


• Query resolution, e.g. with suppliers, purchasing, finance



• Customs clearances and compliance with import and export control requirements



• Control and recording of goods outwards



• Delivery of goods to internal and external customers on site



• Arranging the shipping of goods to external customers and suppliers


• Supervision of stores staff


• Management reporting and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators
  
  Confident and professional when dealing with customers, suppliers, and colleagues



• Comfortable working in a busy environment and to deadlines



• Takes ownership of systems and procedures and is answerable for results



• Competent with Microsoft suite of tools, especially Excel to produce and analyse reports



• Competent with import and export control laws and regulations


QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED/ EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS


• Previous experience in a similar role is essential


• Demonstrated knowledge of traceability and certification requirements within a strictly regulated environment such as aerospace or medical



• Forklift driving licence is highly desirable



• Experience of stock control software
