This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Respite Services Team.

We pay an attractive salary of £12.59 per hour and offer access to training and development opportunities.

The role of a Social Care Worker is to deliver care, support and guidance in line with agreed Care Plans. You will be required to deliver all aspects of personal care and ensure the person's privacy, dignity, respect, choices, independence and self-esteem are maintained at all times.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support individuals in a person-centred way to promote their independence, encouraging them to express their views and participate in relevant decision making about the support and service they require.

The role also involves supporting some individuals with mobility needs in accordance with their safer handling plan.

1. The ability to achieve a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care within an agreed timescale
2. Experience of working in a care setting and an understanding of the principles that underpin a quality care environment ie, privacy, dignity, respect, choice, independence and rights
3. A motivated, committed and flexible approach to duties, and the ability to work shifts on a rota basis including weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties, Disability Confident
