Full Job Description

Inzpire's GECO mission system is designed to meet the situational awareness requirements of the diverse aviation mission planning and execution environment. The system combines award-winning software with modern, high-performance hardware to deliver the right information, at the right time, in the right format to military aircrew. This helps aircrew to make the correct decision quickly, ultimately enhancing the safety of operations. GECO is designed by ex-military aircrew who work closely with skilled engineers, all of whom have experience of developing avionics products for military use.

Working directly for the Safety and Security Technical Authority, the main duties of the role will include:

· Conducting safety analysis on Company-designed mission support systems, including Mission Planning Systems and tablet-based obstacle warning, navigation and EFB products.

· Producing GECO System Hazard Analysis Reports.

· Producing GECO System Safety Assessment Reports.

· Maintaining the GECO System Hazard Log and producing GECO System Hazard Log Reports.

· Supporting the on-going maintenance, control and configuration management of all documentation and records relating to Mission Systems' Safety Management System.

You will have experience in safety-critical systems engineering and must be motivated by the challenge of analysing complex systems to identify and control safety risk. As a member of a small highly skilled, multi-disciplined team the responsibilities of the role are necessarily broad and varied and you should be prepared to undertake a comprehensive range of activities that may, at times, fall outside of your specialist field.

The successful candidate will:

· Be a proactive individual with a 'can-do attitude' who can work with only minimal supervision and who is not afraid to contribute their own suggestions and ideas to improve product safety.

· Be articulate, possess excellent attention to detail and have the discipline to consistently produce high-quality output whilst satisfying the requirements of applicable standards.

· Have an inquisitive/analytical mind, be able to research issues independently and suggest pragmatic, business-focused solutions.

· Demonstrate a desire to develop professionally within our growing business. Senior Functional Safety Engineer (Aviation) SPT-HR Recruitment 24-11 - Senior Functional Safety Engineer (Aviation) - Job Brief Qualifications and Experience
