Full Job Description

  • Produce reports and analysis of 1st line operational quality assurance outcomes, providing insight on delivery of good client outcomes and opportunities to improve compliance

  • Support the CFPL Risk & Assurance Lead to manage and maintain oversight of 3rd party mystery shopper activity

  • Carry out assurance checks with operational managers to ensure they are correctly following quality assurance processes and identifying any areas for improvement

  • Carry out vulnerable client assurance and create reports and oversight to feed through appropriate committees

  • Coach & train operational managers on 'what good looks like' for 1st line assurance to embed the checks into daily activity

  • Support the CFPL Risk & Assurance Lead to evolve the CFPL quality assurance to be more client focused as the procedures become more embedded and in line with regulatory requirements

  • Carry out testing of risk controls in line with the 1st line assurance testing plan

    Proven experience of carrying out quality assurance checks and working within assurance frameworks

  • Experience of working in an FCA regulated environment

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence, coach and train colleagues

  • Great analytical skills with the ability to compile reports and present the findings of these in a clear and understandable way to colleagues at all levels

  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet multiple conflicting deadlines

    We're looking for a risk & assurance manager to join our Funeralcare 1st line risk team, operating within Coop Funeral Plans Ltd (CFPL).   • In this role you'll play a key part in carrying out and reporting the oversight activities of 1st line assurance within the Co-op Funeral Plans Limited frameworks. We'll also look to you to support the CFPL Risk and Assurance Lead to coach and develop senior managers and colleagues in our Funeralcare branches on risk management best practice.
