Retail Stocktaker - based in Stubbington Fareham Havant Waterlooville

Due to expansion we need to recruit a Retail Stocktaker based in or very close to the Fareham, Stubbington, Waterlooville, Havant areas.

We have meeting points as follows,

Near the Rusty Cutter, near TGI Fridays Fareham, Longmynd Drive Fareham and in Stubbington. You will need to have your own transport or live very close to a meeting point to ensure that you can easily and safely get to and from there.

We are looking for someone who ideally has retail or warehouse experience and an understanding of stocktaking. Full training is given.

The successful applicant will be responsible for working on stocktakes in The South Coast area and will therefore involve travelling throughout Hampshire, East and West Sussex, Dorset plus Surrey, Wiltshire, into London and sometimes even further afield. Saying that, there is a lot of local work for this team on The South Coast.

Setting off at 5am is not uncommon. Days and journeys vary. Some easy days will be short and the tougher days a bit longer. It's very much taking the rough with the smooth.

Your working week will vary from 1 to 3+ days weekly according to the current workload and your personal availability. It's very much give and take. If you want more than 3 days a week, then this will sometimes be possible if you are available a lot. All our people work for us very regularly, week in, week out and we don't use agency or casual staff.

You will need to have a reliable car to get to the local meeting point. You may be asked if you can drive yourself direct to a stocktake. If so all expenses parking etc are reimbursed plus a tax free mileage allowance. Our people car share/travel together.

Good training and ongoing support is provided at all times. Initial training will be mainly on-site on live stocktakes. Most stocktakes involve the use of simple to use barcode scanners. Accuracy is everything and speed comes with training and practice. You will need to be reliable, accurate, presentable and have good communication skills.

Every working day is different - different places virtually every day, counting different types of stock for a variety of great clients. Most of our stocktakes are very early morning starts, mainly Monday to Friday. There are some late starts and some weekend stocktakes. Lots of variety.
