Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced retail professional to join our dynamic team, to manage the performance of their allocation of shops in order to maximise financial contribution to the charity, bringing in essential income that funds the care of 1 in 4 of our patients.

As Retail Area Manager you will:

- Manage the financial performance of your shops and ensure income targets are achieved within agreed expenditure budget
- Ensure that high standards of presentation, customer service and operational effectiveness are being maintained
- Undertake regular shop visits and support your Shop Managers, Relief Shop Managers and Drivers

With over £1.2 million to raise each year in the area, this role is essential in providing our shop teams with the knowledge, skills and support in order to reach their financial targets.

Experience of retail area management, preferably in the charity and high street sectors
- People management experience, and the ability to lead and motivate large teams
- The ability to be self-motivated and work on your own initiative
- A commercial and proactive approach
- A proven record of achieving budgets and targets
- A UK driving licence and vehicle for work

As this role involves working with volunteers under the age of 16, an enhanced DBS check, including the children's barred list, will be required.

At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life.
