Working at pace, you will join the ICB's System Co-ordination Centre and work across a wide range of healthcare agendas including the ICB's:

  • Single Point Of Contact (SPOC)

  • Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC)

  • Vaccination programme (Covid, Flu and MRR)

  • Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR)


  • Main duties of the job

    As part of the Integrated Care Board's (ICB) System Co-ordination Centre (SCC), you will be a first point of contact for system related matters. You will be trained and supported to proactively manage all aspects of the SCC's work.

    Single Point Of Contact (SPOC)

    In managing the SPOC inbox, you will:
    1. receive, share and cascade information with our healthcare system partners;
    2. collate, check and submit information to NHS England's region teams.

    Surge Management

    Operating within the fast-paced Surge environment, you will have oversight of information and live data, engaging in regular communications with system partners to understand and report their pressures, plans, and timeframes for the de-escalation of Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) pressures including the system's Operational Pressures Escalation Level (OPEL) status.

    Vaccination Programmes

    The SCC plays an important role in the planning, co-ordination and the delivery of the ICB's vaccination programmes. Within this role you will build and maintain robust relationships with Primary Care Networks, community Pharmacists, Acute and Community Hospital Trusts and NHS England.

    Emergency Planning, Resilience and Response (EPRR)

    The SCC plays an important role in the ICB's delivery and maintenance of EPRR across the ICS as it supports the development and implementation of statutory requirements and arrangements relating to the ICB's preparedness, and resilience to, significant incidents and emergencies., The ICB is responsible for joining up care services to improve patient experience in the community. The Board includes a chair, the chief executive and representatives from NHS organisations, primary care (GPs) and local authorities (Councils).
