Full Job Description

We are expanding our Repairs Surveyor teams and have exciting new opportunities available.

Here at Platform, we are passionate about building a better future in affordable homes services and communities and are growing our External Contracts & Delivery team to further support the quality and effectiveness of responsive maintenance across our properties.

You will be assisting the team to manage the quality and effectiveness of responsive maintenance across a locality while providing technical advice on complex repair issues and escalations. You will also help us ensure that we meet the reasonable, statutory, and regulatory obligations of our customers and will support us in maximising planned investment where possible.

  • A sound knowledge of construction methods and provision of maintenance services relating to residential buildings

  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework relevant to programmes of works and maintenance, for example CDM Regulations, Site Health and Safety, Building Regulations, etc.

  • Experience of successfully managing contractors to deliver repair works

  • Experience of positive engagement with customers to resolve difficult issues

  • Good IT skills and experience of using iPads or other tablets or handheld devices and bespoke software packages to record inspections and work activities


  • This is a varied role within a collaborative team, where you will regularly liaise with customers and contractors so ideally you will have effective communication and influencing skills with a strong commitment to customer service.

    While this position offers the flexibility of home working, possessing a valid driving license and the capacity to travel to properties across Coventry, and East Birmingham is essential.

    Salary Up to £44,161 per annum (depending on experience)
