Full Job Description

This role is perfect for a vigilant lifeguard with a passion for community service and a knack for organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the safety of our guests in the pool area, providing friendly reception cover, and facilitating the setup and takedown of various sports activities and an opportunity to work in the gym.

As a strong team player who is certified in life-saving techniques, you'll use your excellent communication and organisational skills to thrive in a bustling recreational facility.

If this role sounds perfect but you don't hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), don't be put off - we can provide you with everything you need to become qualified!

If you don't already have an NPLQ, we will be running courses the week commencing 10 June to be held at One Leisure Ramsey and the week commencing 1 July, location to be confirmed. You'll need to be available to attend one of the five-day courses.

This role is subject to a DBS check.

The closing date is 9am 14 May 2024 and the assessment day, including a swim test will take place on Wednesday 22 May at our One Leisure Centre in St. Ives. The assessment day will include a swim test where the following will be assessed:
Swim 50m in less than 1 minute - Swim 100m continuously on your front then 100m on your back

Tread water in deep water for more than 30 seconds

Surface dive to the deepest part of the pool

Climb out of the pool unaided.
