Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for experienced QC's to work as part of our Quality team based at our Boston site.

This role is responsible for the daily quality assurance of all produce; by covering on-line, intake and positive release. Duties include:

- To be responsible for the daily quality assurance of all fruit.

- Constantly assess product specifications to meet customer requirements.

- To arrange samples of fruit for laboratory and customer and obtain and record customer feedback in respect of New Seasons, Varieties and Growers.

- Completing daily QA intake reports for all arrivals.

- Communicating directly with Suppliers to provide a high level of customer service for the client.

- Take responsibility for all intake assessment of arrivals, which may include digital photographs, electronic copies, emailed and communicated with suppliers.

- Take responsibility for all outgoing assessment of departures of all products which may include digital photographs, electronic copies, emailed and communicated with customers

- The awareness and initiative to instigate improved systems as and when required.

- To check the accuracy of the label print sheets for all products.

- Taking control of fruit quality, which activities include:

- Online assessment, working closely with the production team.

- Finished product QA positive release each pallet and take samples for assessment and shelf life.

- Daily verbal and written communication with customer.

- In the event of rejection, immediate verbal and written communication to be made to the customer, a rejection analysis to be carried out, recorded and sent to the customer, the QA Manager and Operations Manager.

- BRC integration (in conjunction with the QA Manager).

- Working with the QA Manager to ensure the correct QA Manual appendices are in use and up-to-date (for example, temperature checks, glass audits, cleaning schedules etc.)

- Complete daily/weekly records/checks.

- Check market rejects.

- Complete shelf life/write up on spread sheet.

Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate experience within a similar role and working environment.

The quality team operates on a rotating (2,2,3) shift system encompassing 12 hour days.
