Full Job Description

The QA Technician reports to the QA Compliance Controller and is responsible for the day to day running of quality control systems. To ensure all production line documentation is correct and recorded correctly, and to ensure hygiene standards are being maintained.,

  • Completion of all scheduled QA line checks & ensuring all production paperwork is completed fully and on time

  • Carrying out pre and post bottling QA tests

  • Carrying out end of shelf life verification tests

  • Daily, weekly and monthly calibration of lab equipment

  • Preparing daily paperwork for production and checking throughout the day

  • Informing the QA Compliance Controller when laboratory equipment needs ordering

  • Preparing samples for dispatch when necessary

  • Carry out daily, weekly & monthly GMP & hygiene audits

  • Finished product assessments of contract pack product and any others as necessary

  • Ensure QA Task List is fully signed off & all tasks completed on time

  • ATP Swabbing of production equipment

  • Packing on the production line when required

  • Work closely with the Production Manager and Line Leaders

  • To carry out all training required to meet the requirements of the role and to support in training to enable operatives to effectively and efficiently maintain the quality parameters to specification

  • To collect sample products from each days production and ensure retention samples are stored in an organised manner in the shelf life store

  • To immediately report any incidences of poor manufacturing practice, H&S incidents or food safety concerns to any member of the Senior Management team.

    Some experience in Quality Control/Assurance in the food industry

  • Enjoys working with food within the food industry
