Full Job Description

The company's key markets are the supply and processing of specialist workwear to cleanroom (pharmaceutical, medical, aerospace)
and manufacturing (steel making, engineering, automotive) organisations. The company also manufactures and distributes an
extensive range of cleanroom consumable products in the UK and exports worldwide including Europe, India, Australia, and Canada.
The company has an ambitious and clear growth vision in the UK where we are investing in all our plants and abroad where we have
recently built and opened our first factory outside of the UK in Bangalore, India which has recently been commissioned and is
supporting the production of Covid-19 vaccines in India.

Introduction to Product Development

The Product Development Manager plays a critical role in developing our current product range (both rental and consumable) and
launching new products into the market. They are responsible for managing a small team of project leaders and ensuring the rapid
and enthusiastic development of products through the Research & Development pipeline.

Working very closely with the New Product Development team, together the two Research & Development teams will develop new
technological solutions for our customers and be the first to introduce these to our customers, changing the markets we serve.

The Product Development team will infect the rest of the business with an urgent enthusiasm to launch new products and will
collaborate with multiple other departments to ensure the rapid and efficient launch of new products in a positive manner.

Job Role and Key Responsibilities

We're looking for a Product Development Manager with experience in project management, people management and promoting Research &
Development internally. They will join a business-to-business environment, joining the business at an exciting stage in its growth
plans. Product Development gives an exciting opportunity to work with a technical team to develop and launch exciting new products
into a global market, and there is substantial scope for personal development.,

  • Responsible for Product Development project completion KPIs

  • Enthusiastically promoting Research & Development activities throughout the business.

  • Supporting a culture of innovation throughout Micronclean.

  • Contribute to the Research & Development pipeline, aiding the Innovation Associate Director to make high level, strategic

  • decisions on product development projects, helping to strategically steer the development cycle, in line with the businesses
    purpose.
  • Develop and manage the product development systems to ensure the efficient and robust launch of new products.

  • Develop relationships with external parties, including customers, suppliers and trade bodies to increase knowledge with the

  • primary aim of identifying new product development opportunities.
  • Develop the project management capabilities of the product development team.

  • Provide workload management support to the product development team.

  • Support the Innovation Associate Director in the efficient delivery of the Research and Development program.

  • Ensure the maintenance of product development systems and records, as specified in company policies and procedures.

  • Undertake training as required to enable the necessary Product Development activities to be carried out.

  • Coordinate and drive continuous improvement in the Product Development function.

  • Management experience, supporting the fostering of an environment of product development, continuous improvement and

  • Good IT skills in the use of Microsoft office products

  • Full, valid UK/EU driving licence.
