Poultry Farm Worker / Assistant Manager / Trainee Assistant Manager

An opportunity has arisen to join a family run broiler breeder poultry farm, comprising of three units, in Gloucestershire.

We are offering a full-time role for a stock person with a passion for livestock, a drive to perform well and with aspirations to be an assistant manager/support the existing managers on farm. Previous experience with farming is not a necessity but the right attitude is critical.

Candidates should ideally be able to work a 6 day a week (to include weekends) or a 12 day fortnight (every other weekend off), 8 hours a day.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working, as part of a team, to collect and grade chicken eggs to a high standard


• Basic data collection and recording


• Ensuring the welfare of livestock is kept to the highest possible standard at all times


• Feeding, stockmanship


• Some mechanical repairs when necessary


• Eventually taking responsibility for and over seeing the farm when the manager is off
