Full Job Description

  • Working within a team of mechanics, liaising with and reporting to the Workshop Manager.

  • Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI's) of plant so all equipment is safe and ready for hire.

  • Routine/periodic services to fleet items. Informing the Workshop Manager of costs e.g., parts used, labour time and charges.

  • Inspection of all plant when returned to depot, informing the Worksop Manager if there are any damages and/or items missing.

  • Repairs and breakdowns to fleet items on site as and when required.

  • Service and repairs to customers own equipment as and when required.

  • General housekeeping of workshop.

  • Stock management to keep frequently used items readily available.


    • Schedule:
  • 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday. 8am-12pm on Saturdays

  • Approximately 8 Saturdays per annum and overtime as and when required

    A full UK drivers' licence

  • Confident and friendly service

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Positive, can-do attitude

  • Experience with plant (preferable)

    £13 - £17 an hour - Permanent, Full-time, Pulled from the full job description
