Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to work as a Medical Laboratory Assistant.

You will support the work of the Biomedical Scientists in providing a diagnostic Microbiology Service. Your duties will include processing of samples, preparation of reagents and entering requests onto the laboratory computer system. Previous laboratory experience is required although further training will be given.Core hours are Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.30. However, you will need to be flexible with regular working between 09.00 to 22.00 once trained and participation in weekend/bank holiday rotation.

Microbiology is within the Pathology Department at Kettering General Hospital, part of the Family Health Division.
