Full Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Management Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Neighbourly finances. Providing advice regarding all financial matters within the business, including all financial analysis into business planning and performance,
- Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth.
- Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making.
- Produce month end and year end journals.
- Prepare monthly Management accounts.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Processing of AP invoices.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process.
- Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
- Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Review company assets and liabilities.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for all accounts.
- Review of monthly expenses and credit card transactions.
- Calculation, presentation, and payment of Qtrly. VAT return.
- Production of relevant commercial analysis.
- Assist and lead in individual brands - Annual Audit.
- Any other duties as and when required.
- Support and provide cover to the FD when required.
- Any other reasonable duty that falls within your capabilities.
- Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) preferred or relevant experience.
- Technical Accounting skills
- Experience of using finance systems.
- Thorough understanding of management information systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial.
- Highly competent, with solid commercial acumen.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Dynamics 365.
- Can-do attitude.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic., Certificate of Higher Education (preferred), accounting: 2 years (required)
