Full Job Description

The Logistics Supply Coordinator is responsible for co-ordinating and supporting the daily distribution operation of the fleet of vehicles servicing the aggregate replenishment of our customers, predominantly by bulk artic vehicles.,

  • Plan and then oversee the execution of work across the aggregate replenishment fleet of vehicles and drivers; ensuring that schedules are maintained, and work is completed in the most geographically and logistically, cost efficient manner, whilst providing our customers with an industry leading level of service and maximising vehicle utilisation. This includes ensuring:

  • Unladen mileage is kept to the minimal amount possible.

  • Operating costs are minimised.

  • Deliveries are made in a timely manner.

  • Proactiveness in identifying and finding solutions to avoid vehicles being delayed;

  • The transport system is kept up to date with accurate job status/information throughout the course of the shift.

  • Continually monitor VOR statuses to ensure utilisation of any available vehicle.

  • Follow company policy to ensure all vehicles and drivers adhere to road transport compliance and health & safety.

  • Ensure all vehicles attend planned maintenance bookings.

  • Monitor driver performance and communicate, engage and performance manage where necessary to ensure performance is maintained or improved.

  • Liaise with the Sales Department and customers in respect of ongoing service requirements and projects; always endeavouring to provide the highest level of customer service whilst maintaining a high standard of fleet optimisation.

  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.
