Full Job Description
Oakdene Primary School require a Learning Assistant Level 2 from September 2024
The post is for 32 hours, term time only + 5 INSET Days. The post is fixed term with a view to become permanent for an exceptional candidate.
Oakdene School would like to appoint a caring, thoughtful, pro-active Learning Assistant who will support children at our friendly and welcoming school. You will work with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils while also promoting pupil independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. You will assist pupils so they can access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
The duties will include the following:
- Supporting children in classes, including those with Special Educational Needs.
- Supporting individual children or small groups of children in all subjects.
- Providing administrative support to teaching staff including provision of displays and record keeping.
- Promotion of our School Values.
- Establishing positive relationships with parents/carers.
- Supporting extra-curricular activities and events.
£16,763.21 - £17,064.91 a year - Fixed term contract
