Full Job Description

The Laboratory Technician will support teaching and learning within the land-based curriculum. The role has a largely science-based focus and involves preparing resources, constructing and modifying apparatus and carrying out appropriate safety checks. Duties also involve the preparation of demonstrations and helping with learner experiments, the maintenance of equipment both within the science labs and other specialist learning areas, cleaning and stock control including stock taking and re-ordering of equipment and resources.

South Staffordshire College is looking to employ a dynamic, energetic, and enthusiastic full time Laboratory Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join this successful team., Successful applicants must be qualified to Level 3 (or equivalent qualification), ideally in science, possess good communication and organisational skills, have a genuine passion and ability to help develop the land-based resource and to help establish effective learning opportunities for our college community.

Interviews are anticipated to take place week commencing 17th June 2024
