Full Job Description

At Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains we offer a Level 4 IT Apprenticeship Programme which will tap into your passion and determination to win, giving you a real opportunity to contribute to our success story. As a team we pride ourselves on challenging and developing our students with exposure to a range of exciting and challenging projects spanning across Motorsport and Advanced Technology on the cutting edge of vehicle electrification. You will work on projects that push the boundaries of your creativity and technical capabilities, and where your passion can help to push the boundaries of science and technology on the Formula 1 race track and the road., We are passionate about improving reliability, availability and performance with a focus of enabling the team to deliver results and succeed on the track and pride ourselves on sharing knowledge and developing new processes. As a valued member of the team, you will work collaboratively to develop solutions that will enable the whole team to succeed, including the following;

· You will work and learn with the team to evolve the services, championing change and driving continual improvements.

· To deliver exceptional customer service and technical excellence.

· To collaboratively improve our systems and procedures to reduce complexity and improve reliability.

· You will work within a team to troubleshoot and resolve IT systems, software, and database issues.

· You will network with the IT team, the business, customer teams and suppliers to implement industry standard and bespoke solutions.

· Maintain our infrastructure landscape to ensure system availability.

· Skilled at problem solving, written & verbal communication, with strong attention to detail and task completion.

· Flexible and open, a team player and target and deadline driven.

· A willingness to succeed, with dedication to your team and developing new skills.

· The ability to prioritise and be capable to perform under pressure and overcome challenges.

· Delivering exceptional customer service.

· Operational support within an IT department or equivalent.

· Planning, organising, and delivering IT tasks within a team environment.

· Software development and/or scripting in a modern software language, such as C# or Python.

· Scripting, orchestration, and automation techniques.

· Software development practices, technologies, systems and services e.g. MS DevOps.

· IT system capacity, performance, and availability monitoring.

· IT security, vulnerability, and malware threat prevention.

Requirements

It is a requirement to have five GCSE 9-4 grades or equivalent (including English and Maths) to apply for this type of apprenticeship. If you do not have these grades but have completed numeracy and literacy Key Skills/Functional Skills at level two you may also apply for these apprenticeships. A level 3 qualification (A Level, BTEC Diploma or equivalent) in IT or Computer Science is beneficial.

Eligibility
You must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the role:

- Have been a UK/EEA resident for the last 3 years

- Hold valid residency status

- Have the right to work in the UK
