Full Job Description

  • Actively use the Trust Standard Operating Procedures to deliver IT services to end users; ensuring all relevant procedures are adhered too.

  • Support the IT Support Manager in the development of the IT procedures, processes and systems that support end users in using ALT technology systems.

  • Respond to and resolve assigned helpdesk tickets within agreed SLA, ensuring end users are kept updated at all parts of the resolving process; ensuring where SLA's cannot be met this is communicated to your IT Business Partner.

  • Use a variety of knowledge base sources to troubleshoot and resolve helpdesk tickets.

  • Managing AV/IT bookings, the delivery and setting up ICT/AV equipment for use by staff, returning the equipment to safe and secure storage after use.

  • Maintain and amend user accounts across all of the trusts login based systems, including the troubleshooting of account faults, and changing of account permissions where required.

  • Assist the IT Support Manager with the training and inducting of new colleagues within the team as required.

  • Installation of all ICT & AV hardware/software as required, following the Trust Change Control Procedures, including the co-ordination of larger projects that may require infrastructure projects.

  • Repair, clean, service ICT and AV equipment, and maintain up to date records of equipment including the inventory.

  • In depth software and hardware fault finding across all delegated systems.

  • Support with data and phone cabling ensuring network cabinets are correctly patched in accordance with VLAN designs.

  • Support with monitoring the system for misuse and escalating findings as appropriate.

  • Assist the IT Support Manager in recording, updating and annually verifying all assets owned by the Trust.

  • Supply consumables, monitor stock levels and order consumables as required.

  • Support and troubleshoot issues with the trusts telephone system. Including making standard changes such as pickup / hunt group configuration or name / extension changes.

  • Supporting the MIS, PSF and other key systems in the school with user troubleshooting and resolving end user issues.
