IT GRADUATE / JUNIOR QA TESTER (DATA) - hybrid role with both office-based and homeworking. This role will also be required to work out of normal working hours on occasion.

£27,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to join our IT QA test team as Graduate / Junior QA Tester (Data).

This role will work within the Data Platform Services team under the support and guidance of the IT QA Test Manager and IT Senior QA Analyst - Data.

The role will help ensure that data consolidated within the company's warehouse and data lakes is reliable, accurate and securely stored; and that systems linking to the Data Platform Services are of high quality (to protect the integrity of the data being stored and used by the business).

The role will provide testing and technical support across the delivery teams and will incorporate a wide range of activities/responsibilities, such as issue identification and resolution, requirements analysis, test automation and the creation/maintenance of test artifacts (such as test cases, bug documentation and test exit reports).

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required, along with previous experience working within a test and / or data related role.,

  • Desirable requirements:
  • Strong SQL knowledge

  • Basic understanding of database, data warehouse/lake concepts

  • Awareness of Agile development methodologies

  • Previous experience working within a testing and/or data related role

  • Strong bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related field

  • ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing
