Full Job Description

It's the job of our Hygiene Operator's to carry out scheduled and specialist cleaning across site and production areas, including production equipment internally and externally as required. Reporting directly to the Hygiene Manager / Hygiene Team Leader.

You will also :

  • Carry out scheduled and non-scheduled cleaning tasks to the fabric of the buildings and associated equipment

  • Carry out specialised cleaning tasks, using some hazardous substances and act on instructions given by the Manager/ Charge hand in accordance with the company's safety procedures

  • Follow safe use and storage of hazardous substances in line with company policy

  • Use and operate cleaning equipment and cleaning tools, including UHP water jetting machine.

  • Ensures that all personal protective equipment is maintained in good condition, i.e. safety clothing, eye protection, face visors, gloves, footwear, headgear etc.

  • Ensure your own personal safety and that of all personal including others who may be affected by the Company's activities

  • Challenge unsafe behaviours

  • Adhere to the duties required for your role within the Health and Safety policy

  • Promote and enforce behaviours and actions that will prevent all contamination threats to products whether physical, microbial or chemical

  • Escalate immediately reporting on the status of any non-compliance in the system or process to management for counter measure or immediate remedy

    We're looking for someone with experience of working within food manufacturing in a similar role, and knowledge of the Health and Safety requirements within FMCG. You'll be a confident and assertive communicator at all levels, with excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.   • Lean manufacturing principles

  • Food Hygiene

  • Previous experience in a hygiene role

  • Previous experience working across production areas

  • Confined space trained (desirable)

  • COSHH level 2 (desirable but not essential)

  • McCain "Working at height " trained

  • Understanding of AIB and GMP standards and audits
