Full Job Description

South Holland District Council are currently seeking to recruit Housing Neighbourhood Officer to join our supportive Housing team., We are looking for someone who has an understanding of housing management issues with proven experience of working in a general needs or sheltered housing management team. We have numerous roles available, permanent and fixed term.

The Housing Neighbourhood Officer is a valuable role working closely with internal and external partners to ensure that tenancies and estates are managed effectively, with an emphasis on providing good customer service and sustaining tenancies. This is a valuable role that provides a proactive patch based housing management service to tenants of the Council's general needs and sheltered housing, leaseholders and housing owned by others.

A main part of the role is to proactively undertake regular inspections of properties and estates to ensure tenancy conditions are being adhered to, ensuring noncompliance is addressed through taking the appropriate action.

You will also be responsible for managing rent accounts and enforcing against rent arrears so the ability to prioritise workload and deal with challenging situations will be key.
