The post holder must ensure that accurate and timely data and information is provided that can inform strategic and operational decision making at all levels. Are you someone who understands the power data, information and insight can offer to an organisation in the NHS? Are you ready for the opportunity to lead the transformation of our health intelligence service across our organisation? Leading a team of 40+ colleagues across two pressured acute hospitals, the Head of Health Intelligence is a vital role across University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN) as this role will lead the reporting, analytics, insights and data quality services which is so important for not only the day-to-day running of the hospitals, but also strategic planning. UHN are in the midst of a major transformation programme as they implement a new cloud-based data warehouse and powerBI visualisation tool and look to revolutionise the way they operate, interact and support colleagues across UHN., The Head of Health Intelligence (post holder) is responsible for delivering the data, analysis and intelligence functions to support the UHN's strategic aims and will be an integral part of the Digital Leadership team.
All members of the Digital Leadership team will strive towards "Applying the culture, processes, business models & technologies of the internet era to respond to people's raised expectations" [Tom Loosemore's definition of Digital].

At Northampton General Hospital we provide general acute services and hyper-acute stroke, vascular and renal services to people living in Northamptonshire. As well as this we are an accredited cancer centre and provide cancer services to a wider population of Northamptonshire and parts of Buckinghamshire.
