Greenkeeper

Hinckley Golf Club was established in 1895 and for the last 40 years has been an 18-hole, par 71 parkland course, that is recognised as one of the best in Leicestershire. The club has recently engaged a highly reputable golf course architect who is working with us on a new and exciting major development programme across all 18 holes. This programme requires a strong team of Greenkeepers to manage the programme through to its fruition and a vacancy has arisen within the team for a hard-working and motivated individual.

The club believes in continued investment in its staff, and the successful candidate will be working within a strong and supportive team to ensure our golf course is improved and maintained to the highest standard for our members and guests.

In addition to investing in our staff:

The successful candidate will report directly to the course manager and be significantly involved in the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course to the highest standards expected.

This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour working week inclusive of bank holidays. The opportunity for overtime is available and you would be expected to work weekends on a rotational basis.

Principal responsibilities will include:

• General day to day maintenance of the golf course, range, and outdoor surroundings


• Maintenance on machinery


• Applying chemicals, fertiliser and top dressings


• Changing holes daily course set up, setting course furniture, raking bunkers,


• Assistance with construction and project work


• Prioritising safety and welfare of you and your colleagues


• Rotated weekend
  
  NVQ qualified level 2/3


• Pa1,2 & 6


• Good time management


• Communication skills


• Be self-motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic


• Have excellent attention to detail


• Can work individually and part of a team
