Full Job Description

The Finance Manager will report directly to the Finance Director and will be responsible for managing the accounts team, conducting day-to-day finance actions in relation our clients businesses within the group, providing absence cover for all roles within the team and providing strategic financial guidance to senior leadership, and ensuring the overall financial health and compliance in relation to financial activity. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as necessary.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the group.

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.

  • Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to optimize working capital and ensure sufficient funds for operational needs and strategic initiatives.

  • Management of robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and maintain the integrity of financial data.

  • Provide guidance and support to finance staff members, promoting their professional growth and development.

    Professionally qualified in accountancy (ACA,ACCA,CIMA).

  • Proven experience with over 5 years in a senior finance role, preferably within a group or multi-entity environment.

  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Good knowledge of PAYE and VAT and management accounts.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing a team.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently at all levels.

  • Outstanding working knowledge of financial software, specifically Sage, Quickbooks and payroll packages.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
