Full Job Description
We are recruiting for a Facilities Assistant to work on site at one of our Headington based departments starting ASAP for approx 12 weeks working 36.5 hrs p/w and paying £12.49 p/h
Duties:
- Monitor and maintain a high standard of health and safety by undertaking regular building checks, resolving or reporting any issues that arise and proactively report areas requiring maintenance using Planon software.
- Arrange the receipt, documentation and dispatching of goods,services, equipment and client deliveries.
- Set up meeting rooms, lecture theatres and other events, moving furniture and setting up audio visual aids as required.
- Work on post room duties, including dealing with the incoming and outgoing post, Royal Mail franking services, and advising users as required.
- Liaise as necessary with contractors, suppliers, OUES and security staff.
- Assist with fire drills and emergency plan testing, acting as one of the building's Fire/Security Marshalls and/or First Aider if required.
- Monitor operation of printers throughout the building. Ensuring functionality and ordering replacement toners and repairs as necessary using the dedicated printer provider helplines and software.
- Provide staff cover across the Buildings, including the Reception desk and assist the Facilities Projects Team as required.
Must have proven Facilities experience
Previous experience in a customer facing role
