Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Research and Consultancy team as a Policy Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research with a primary focus on global Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation. Other research topics include packaging design, packaging labelling, sustainability, plastics taxes, deposit return schemes, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), batteries, textiles and waste laws.

You may be a recent graduate of a research-focused degree or have one to two years of experience in a research or analytical role. You should possess an inquisitive nature and a genuine passion for environmental issues. Additionally, you must have strong writing skills and the ability to present complex information in various styles depending on the audience, as you will be responsible for documenting and sharing your findings with multiple stakeholders within the company. Being comfortable using document translation tools is crucial, as our international business often involves managing text in other languages. You will need to be confident enough to develop good working relationships with external organisations such as Compliance Schemes, NGOs and Government bodies and be happy to spend a large proportion of the role in a direct research capacity to keep on top of any updates or changes to our topics of interest. Fluency in other languages or experience working with
environmental legislation and legal texts would be highly advantageous.

You can show that you know the right questions to ask, and apply a curious and analytical mindset when approaching a problem. You can perform data preparation and cleansing.
