Full Job Description

Key areas of responsibility will be to drive, develop and improve the plants maintenance systems, and be the lead between all engineering functions for forthcoming height changes in the plant.,

  • To manage Autonomous and Planned maintenance scheduling, in line with Plant requirements and capacity.

  • Play an active role in Maintenance days. Linking between Coordinators and production, ensuring the Maintenance is complete, on-time and in full.

  • Work alongside Production and engineering, to identify existing engineering issues to be planned and rectified.

  • Feedback maintenance completion rates and work with Coordinators/management to improve.

  • Be involved with autonomous improvement projects, working alongside shifts and days team to identify and develop. Lending on the technical expertise and knowledge of the engineering and shift teams.

  • Lead and monitor the autonomous maintenance scheduling via Apriso, working with shift managers and cell leaders to ensure completion and proper use.

  • Lead the implementation of a new CMMS (FIIX).

  • Work alongside Engineering and production manager to Plan and Lead Maintenance days and Overhauls with hands on Function.

  • Develop methods to reduce height change times.

  • Work with engineering Coordinators to design SOP's & subsequent risk.


  • assessments for Maintenance activities.

  • The ability to work precisely with strong attention to detail.

  • Stong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability work on your own and and use intiiative.

  • Self-motivated, Time served apprentice level or equivalent in engineering practices.

  • HND/HNC or equivalent is desirable, Electrical Qualification an advantage.

  • Ability to demonstrate safe working practices.

  • Good communicator, team worker and effective listener

  • Must be action orientated and a desire to achieve results / persevere.

  • Must be flexible and with appropriate training be willing to work in other areas to support team members, occasionally at short notice.

  • A team player with strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work alone under their own initiative.
