Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Scotter Pre-School this is a Term Time Only Position. Negotiable hours between 10 hours per week.

You must be qualified to a minimum of level 2 in Early Years and have experience working with children under 5 years, knowledge of the new EYFS reforms and a minimum of 1 years working in the childcare sector.

PURPOSE OF JOB

· To provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 2 - 5 years of age.

· To work in partnership with parents, carers and professionals to promote the well-being of the children.

· To deliver the Early Years curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

· To implement the policies, procedures and practices within the pre-school.

Keep abreast of legislation, guidelines, policies, etc, to ensure the Early Years Foundation Stage is met at all times.

· Ensure health and safety regulations are met, that the pre-school is kept to the required standards of cleanliness and hygiene and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and visitors.

Equally:
You must have a warm smiley face that ensures every child feels special and loved.

The ability to sing in tune is not necessary, however the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential.

You must be able to give warm hugs as and when required.

A high level of multi tasking is essential, a job that would usually take 5 minutes may take 15 or longer.

You must be happy entering public places with unidentified substances on your clothing.

You must be comfortable telling everyone in the room that you need the toilet.

You will preferably have a little bit of quirkiness, if a child asks you to dress as a princess you must be the best princess you can be.
