Full Job Description

You will work in a small friendly, and welcoming team with the support of your manager to provide you with advice and guidance when needed., You will be responsible for the management and progression of a case load within a small specialist team that deals with high profile cases. Utilising your communication and case management skills you will progress your cases in a timely manner., To regulate well, we support our professions and the public. We create resources and guidance that are useful throughout people's careers, helping them to deliver our standards in practice and address new challenges. We also support people involved in our investigations, and we're increasing our visibility so people feel engaged and empowered to shape our work.
Regulating and supporting our professions allows us to influence health and social care. We share intelligence from our regulatory activities and work with our partners to support workforce planning and sector-wide decision making. We use our voice to speak up for a healthy and inclusive working environment for our professions.

You will need to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and identify any risks to the public from the information you obtain from our stakeholders. You will also be expected to analyse the information you obtain and put forward sound recommendations to the team.

Using your people skills you will be expected to provide high quality customer service and in some cases you will need to identify and support customers who are vulnerable or that need support to access our service.

About You
You would have:

  • Experience of managing a caseload

  • Experience of working both in a team and independently to deliver against targets

  • Experience of working to strict timescales

  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and competing tasks.

  • Experience of identifying and managing risk in your day to day work.

  • Demonstrable experience of communicating by telephone, emails and letters.

  • Experience of delivering exemplary customer care in a fast paced and challenging environment.

  • Experience of liaising with stakeholders of all levels.

  • Excellent IT skills, including; Outlook, Excel, Word and Adobe

Second, we maintain the register of professionals eligible to practise. Third, we investigate concerns about nurses, midwives and nursing associates - something that affects a tiny minority of professionals each year.   • Season ticket loans, It is expected that staff new to the NMC will ordinarily be appointed to the bottom of the relevant pay band. However in exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to offer a salary above the bottom of the relevant pay band but we may request proof of current earnings. Please note that we offer an annual review of salaries and adopt a generous progressive pay approach. Further details of which are available on request.
