- Encouraging residents to have the highest quality of life
- Promoting independence and choice in their life
- Respecting and accepting individual's social, emotional, sexual, religious, cultural and political needs
- Updating plans for their on-going care
- Helping individuals with their daily lives such as assisting with eating and drinking, personal hygiene, recreational activities, home help services, accompanying individuals outside of the home etc.
