Bookkeeper

We are looking for a passionate and highly enthusiastic Bookkeeper to join our team at Haines Watts.

This role will involve covering all basic accounts work and will provide an opportunity to develop your bookkeeping skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Duties include:

• Assisting with the posting of purchase invoices


• Preparation of purchase ledger payment runs


• Posting of bank income, expenses and preparing reconciliations


• Assisting credit control departments


• Posting journals


• Assisting with month-end routines


• Preparing financial reports & liaising with national reporting functions


• Adhoc duties

Skills:

• Knowledge of Xero and Sage 50


• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• Good attention to detail and organisational skills


• Good IT skills including use of Excel


• Good time management skills with the ability to work towards tight deadlines, You will ideally be AAT qualified or have a minimum of 2-3 years bookkeeping experience with external clients and have experience of using systems like cloud accounting software.
