Full Job Description

JP Tuning Leicester strives to provide high quality repairs to the vehicle industry, making sure our customers expectations are met, by providing quality workmanship.

Our work varies from classic car restoration, accident work, engine bay build, underside restorations alongside daily retail body repair.

We provide high quality workmanship from start to finish, for a high cliental.

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicle components in an efficient manner ensuring correct repair procedures are followed.

  • Preparing vehicle components ready to be re-sprayed ensuring correct formulations, preparation methods, application sequence, timing and material use

  • Dent removal, including use of dent puller & panel beating

  • Welding using spot welders and MIG welder

  • Removing corrosion from vehicle panels, flattening of fillers and masking repairs ready to be re-sprayed ensuring that areas are well primed

  • Be able to identify plastic repairs and refinishing

  • Having the correct product knowledge for plastic repairs i.e. adhesion promotors, flexible additives, fillers and stoppers

  • Ability to assess and identify different finished coatings i.e. textures

  • Identifying rectification issues and report them where required

  • Quality control checks carried out on completion to ensure no defects on work

  • Dent removal, panel work, minor welding for repairs

  • Any additional skill set to the above would be an advantage

    In order to be successful, you will need to have at least 3 years' experience in this type of vehicle repair process.

  • Be able to meet targets and deadlines

  • Have the ability to work effectively under pressure

  • Be able to work as part of a team

    £35,000 - £38,000 a year - Permanent, Full-time
