Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CAD Officer to join Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT), reporting to the Data & Information Manager in Estates & Facilities.

The Trust has over 100 properties including 40 wards, across 61 sites with a total GIA of circa 105,000 m2. This and other strategic appointments demonstrate the commitment to our services and grows the expert and visible leadership in our Estate & Facilities capability.

Can you identify, plan and undertake research and development initiatives to inform strategic objectives?

Do you have an understanding of risk management and implementing quality management systems?

Have you the experience of managing large and small works projects using multi-disciplinary teams including NHS and external consultants

  • Supporting the acquisition of data and development of an in-house capability to lead, manage and develop our building information relating to all our premises from which we operate.

  • Arrange for new or revised drawings and Operation and Maintenance manuals to be up-loaded into the relevant areas of our CAFM database and provide CAD support for feasibilities and capital investment proposals.


  • The post-holder will support the Data & Information Manager and the wider E&F team to ensure building related records are available from the database.

  • The post-holder will record and maintain estate and engineering records to support the wider Estates and Facilities team in Local Services. Ensure records are created in appropriate formats using various software packages.

  • Professionally qualified in AutoCAD and have experience in working on CAFM systems. Conversant with NHS MMC construction requirements, Net Zero Carbon, ProCure 22/23 programme, SFG20 and the operation of CAFM and helpdesk systems.

  • Awareness of subject areas including managing maintenance, engineering functions, sustainability, energy, Health and Safety, backlog maintenance water safety, LV/HV electrical systems, ventilation systems, medical gases, lifts, pressure systems, confined spaces, management of asbestos.
