Full Job Description

  • Day-to-day People management and leadership of the combined team workforce, ensuring adherence to Company Policies, Quality Management, Health and Safety and Environmental Protection mandates

  • Promoting and supporting team member's career and personal development whilst, fostering an open and honest working and reporting environment within the allocated resources and tasking constraints

  • Ensuring all deliverables meet the required airworthiness standards, promoting flight safety and ensuring all personnel comply with the overall airworthiness framework

  • Ensuring that all maintenance tasks are conducted IAW approved data using the approved toolsets, with the correct levels of oversight and supervision. Ensuring the correct compilation of all documentation for all maintenance tasks, and addressing any issues identified with the relevant Business area

  • Demonstrating a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities, appropriate to the role acting as both technician and supervisor and take direction appropriately. Must be willing to support, both Night and Day Shifts as required

  • Conducting Independent Inspections, Task Evaluation and compiling of JIC's as required and directed by the Team or Phase Leader

    Educated to ONC level or equivalent military training

  • Typhoon Q and Typhoon Maintenance experience

  • Intensive knowledge of Depth Maintenance documentation (ESS/IMS and associated toolsets)

  • Knowledge of quality procedures, processes and specifications and approved Maintenance Organisation (MAOS MIL Pt145)

  • All-round appreciation of Typhoon avionics systems and who is an excellent team worker and communicator. They will be highly motivated and capable of problem solving and developing situations

  • Knowledge of Resolve and raising System Enquiries

    The role will be based within TMF and involve working in conjunction with the RAF in performing the Maintenance, Repair, and Upgrade activities to meet the requirements of the UK Typhoon fleet as part of the TyTAN Managed Maintenance contracted service.


  • You will be working on cutting edge technology supporting the typhoon fleet around the world and working directly on the Aircraft alongside RAF.
