Full Job Description

Working across Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Derby, STARS provides intensive support to children and young people to step down from residential to fostering placements, to stabilise existing fostering placements, to support reunification home, and to divert children and young people from the edge of care.,

  • Act as first point of contact for our customers

  • Ensure that all forms of written and verbal communication portray a positive, professional and helpful image of the organisation

  • Respond to telephone calls and allocate as appropriate prioritising safeguarding calls at all times

  • Ensure all email communications to staff and external agencies are presented within the guidelines of the company's electronic communications policy

  • Undertake reception duties where appropriate.

  • Attend and participate at team meetings as well as minute taking where appropriate

  • Present a professional image at all times to all stakeholders and customers

  • Communicate with a wide range of audiences including the Local Authority, children/young people and their parents/carers by delivering excellent customer service at all times

  • Manage area financial systems, credit cards and invoices if required

  • Undertake travel bookings for staff and managers, as required

  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are observed at all times

  • Assist with undertaking building maintenance in conjunction with or as directed by the Service Manager where necessary

  • The post holder will be expected to demonstrate that the Company's Values are at the centre of all they do

  • Accurately maintain and manage the service database, contributing to monitoring and reporting requirements

  • File documents in the appropriate filing systems and set up new filing systems

  • Type letters and official documents to be sent to external agencies, as requested by the Service Manager

  • Photocopy documents as instructed

  • Manage incoming mail, allocating as appropriate and frank/prepare and post outgoing mail

  • Archive files and other documentation and confidential waste or sensitive information

  • Manage office stationery orders to ensure an adequate supply of office materials and consumables

  • Assist in the co-ordination of casual and part time staff

    Experience of working in a fast paced administrator role, providing comprehensive support within all areas of the business as and when needed.

  • Ability to work as part of a professional network, providing excellent customer service and being able to organise the needs of the business efficiently.

  • Have a full driving licence with unrestricted access to your own car (desirable but not essential)

    Base Location: Mansfield, working a hybrid model of 2 days per week in the office- Tuesdays and Thursdays
