Blackpool Zoo is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to become a part-time, permanent member of our Education Team as an Administration Officer.

About Blackpool Zoo Education Department:

Our Education department is a vibrant, dynamic, and energetic space dedicated to providing positive visitor experiences paired with lasting educational interactions and memorable conservation messages. Our dedicated Education team work creatively and collaboratively to host multi-dimensional programs for visitors of all ages and backgrounds.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive individual with proven people skills to join our team. The Administration Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Education department.

This role includes:

  • Serving as the principal coordinator for daily activities within the education academy.


  • Managing the administration of school, group, and keeper school bookings.


  • Delivering the Wildlife Learning programme and facilitating animal interactions.


  • Key responsibilities

  • Maintain efficient operational procedures within the Education department.


  • Coordinate and manage bookings for schools, groups, and keeper experiences.


  • Assist in the delivery of educational programs and animal interaction sessions.


  • Support the Education team in creating a memorable learning experience for all visitors.

    Proven experience in an administrative role, with strong organisational skills.


  • Excellent people skills, with a background in customer service or a similar field.


  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.


  • Exceptional time management and planning abilities.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
